The Martell boarding house, built in 1924, called the Sundance Hotel, was constructed by the Casazza family. Next door is the old building that was the Fullen Saloon. In 1924 the Casazza boarding house served miners from the Kennedy and Argonaut; later it provided rooms for workmen employed by PG&E for the Salt Springs reservoir project; and later it was the office for the Winton lumber company, circa 1940
