"Heap Big Eat" at the Fire House
Last Thursday evening the commissary department of the Sutter Creek Fire Department got the ingredienst together for a "big eat."

Tony Fontenrose cooked the beans which he knows how to do to the "Queens taste" and the two Jacks, Bernardis and Williams, procured the roast turkey and other provender and when the boys sat down the tables fairly groaned with their load of good things to eat. While the Record reporter has never failed to commend the fire-fighting ability of our fire laddies, they have reciprocated by proving to him that there's "nothing too good for the Irish." as said reporter has always been counted as one of them.

Since the fire company was organized in Sutter Creek insurance rates have been very materially reduced, in most instances the taxpayers saving money over and above the small cost for the maintenance and equipment of the department. In fact it would be a very difficult thing to get a taxpayer to in the least way throw anything in the way of the collection of a small tax or the dis-organization of our efficient fire department.

A resuscitator which will serve two people at the same time has been presented to the Sutter Creek Fire Department by the Sutter Creek Lions Club. The equipment for emergency use, is to be on the fire truck unless in use. Participating in the presentation pictured left to right is George maloney, secretary of the Lions Club; Joe Roger, new president of the Club; John Vukovich the out-going president; Mervin Shephard, Club treasurer; Barney Battaglia, president of the Fire Department, and Ed Arata, secretary of the Fire District.

Sutter Creek Firemen To Give Annual Dance
The Sutter Creek Firemen plan to have their annual ball on the 24th of next month at the Sutter Creek Auditorium. This annual dance is one of the big social events of the winter and the preparations are now under way to make the 1934 ball the best ever. As their objective, the firemen want a new fire truck. A fund has been created and $200 has already been placed in it. Further information and details will be forthcomiing.

A twist of the dial will bring in KGDM next Sunday and give you a seat with the Collegians at one of their regular programs. They start the program at 2 and play for one hour.
