    Site of Ione Theatre

    This building used to house the Ione Theatre in the early days. Movies in 1938 playing "Angels with Dirty Faces" and "Spirit of Culver".

    The band Buena Vista band of Me-Wuk Indians are prestently housed here

    Red Brick Saloon

    This early day saloon was dedicated by the E Vitus Clampers in 1974.

    Colburns Drug Store

    "Tilly's" brick building dominates the intersection of Main and Church. The comer was of the small village Thomas B. Rickey laid out in 1853 on his 160-acre land claim on both of Sutter Creek. Rickey's original "subdivision plat" filed with Calaveras officials, had just six village blocks.
