  • Presbyterian Church, Ione, Amador County

The Presbyterian Church of Ione was built in 1877, it once stood on the lot that is now home to the Cornerstone Church of Ione.

A Presbyterian following was first organized in Ione in 1861 under the direction of Rev. William C. Mosher of Jackson. For more than a century, this building was home to the Presbyterians of Ione until the congregation dwindled; it then became the property of the Baptist Church. When the bricks in the church began to crumble, it was razed and replaced by the Cornerstone Church.

The Ladies Aid Society of the Presbyterian church was instrumental in organizing social events and performing benevolent work throughout the county.
